Jack Ma the founder and Executive chairman of Alibaba Group. He is among the world's to 20 billionaires, and the first in china. His story of Life and Success is a total different story  as compared to the rest of the world's most successful persons. His parents were Musician-come-Story-Tellers (A traditional Music Trend in North-West China and Central Asia), He was born in 1964 at Hangzhou, in the province Zhejiang China. He was curious to learn the English language from his early days, He drove about 45 minutes from his native place to meet the Tourists, talk to them in English, Trying a Conversation in order to Learn English language while guiding them to the places around the City. On failing twice the entrance exam of University Admission, he joined the Hangzhou Teacher's Institute's, Graduated with Bachelor's Degree English in 1988. Later he Joined Hangzhou Dianzi University as a Lecturer of English and International Trade.

After Making Some Savings with the help of his Teaching, in 1995 for the first time he visited United States, he ran a translation business in those days, a friend introduced him to the Internet and made him familiar with the basics of internet. While he searched for China on Internet and found nothing on it, keeping in mind all this , He decided to make some pages online related to China but it went un-Successful, Eventually he tried a Co-Ownership with a Telecom Company, But again he lost ownership over it. In 1990 Ma Finally called his 17 friends to his apartment and decided to establish an online marketplace. That was the Era of China's Export boom, and Internet was getting famous and convenient for business, so here he came with the Venture Alibaba.com, which lead the buyers to browse about the items they are interested in, apart from that, Alibaba.com was a platform where people could deal  business to business activities. In Just a span of Only 1 year the company earned about $25 million. After such a successful starting of his company Ma buckled himself up with his friends, started to give bold statements, worked with them although it is interesting to know that he can't understand or type any single codified content but he excelled in websites and became one of renowned Telecom, Web and IT entrepreneur.

At a conference in 2010, Ma revealed that he has never actually written a line of code nor made one sale to a customer. He encountered a computer for the first time at the age of thirty-three.

At present Ma has an estimated $29.8 billion worth assets, he stepped down as CEO of Alibaba in 2013, presently he serves as Chairman to the company. After the company filed for its IPO, Ma wrote a letter to Alibaba employees, which was printed by The Wall Street Journal,  Here's a nugget from the letter:

"We know well we haven’t survived because our strategies are farsighted and brilliant, or because our execution is perfect, but because for 15 years we have persevered in our mission of 'making it easier to do business across the world,' because we have insisted on a 'customer first' value system, because we have persisted in believing in the future, and because we have insisted that normal people can do extraordinary things."
The very interesting point about Ma is that he was dismissed from Cambridge entrance  exam for 10 times but still he worked hard and never gave up and proved himself as a successful person. He believed in one thing and he also taught his employees the lesson "Never, never give up".
