Download APK files from Google Play Store

Recently, I’ve been looking into “How to download APK files from Google Play Store” and found out that it is actually pretty simple. I made a few queries in Google and found a couple of sites that made it possible to directly download APK files from Google Play.

This comes in handy especially when you’re having trouble connecting your android phone to Google Play Store via USB cable. Now, this forces you to download the app in .apk format and manually install it in your phone.

For downloading .apk files directly to your computer there are two methods:

• One is, we can use the “APK Downloader” chrome extension and Firefox Add-on to download the APK files. Install it in your browser and you’re good to go. Perhaps, this will be my next blog post.
• And the other one is via websites that allow us to download APK files from Google Play Store. This tutorial, I’m going to explain today. So, here it goes…

First let me list out some of the sites that allow us to download APK files from Google Play Store then I’ll write the steps. Some of those useful sites are as follows:

• http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
• http://apk-dl.com/
• http://downloader-apk.com/

Steps to download:

1. Open Google Play Store and search for the app you want to download in .apk format
2. Copy the Url of the app (see red rectangle in the picture below)
3. In another tab, open any of the sites given above. You can use anyone among the three. I will choose apps.evozi.com for this tutorial.
4. Paste the above copied url of the app from Google Play Store into the text box marked with the red rectangle. (see the picture below)

7. Click ‘Generate download link’. In some other sites, the button may be captioned a different name like ‘Go’.
8. A download link will appear, click the download link to download your required APK file. (See the picture below, download link marked by red rectangle)
